passionate about growing and providing fresh, vibrant, living nutrition to our local community. I cultivate high quality crops like sunflower shoots, pea shoots, broccoli, radish and custom mixes. Harvested at peak vitality, these nutrient dense greens offer families an easy, delicious way to elevate everyday meals and boost daily wellness. As a local entrepreneur and mom, every tray I plant is rooted in care, sustainability, and a deep commitment to supporting a healthy, connected coastal community.
More about Jacquelyn ….
What brought you to Powell River?: I wanted to raise my daughter surrounded by the beauty of the ocean, lakes, and rivers, in a community where nature is right at your doorstep. Powell River was the exact manifestation of that dream. The moment our house popped up, the alignment was undeniable, it was true divine timing that brought us here, and this community has felt like home ever since.
When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?: Our family life is all about adventure, exploration, family time, and joy! I love exploring nature with my family, paddle boarding and gardening. Between gardening, microgreens, and embracing everyday silliness, we’re always soaking up the natural beauty and warm spirit of Powell River somehow.
What’s the first career you dreamed of having as a kid? : I always wanted to be a teacher, and I spent over ten wonderful years doing just that as an Early Childhood Educator, including three years running Wild Rose Childcare at home here in Powell River. My passion has always been about fostering growth and well-being. Now, I'm channeling that same care into my current transition: growing fresh, living microgreens for local families through Sacred Seeds.
What's one thing about you that surprises people?: I'm a self proclaimed kitchen witch! I love working with herbs, flowers, and wild plants to make natural medicine, extracts, and nourishing foods for my family.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?: The best advice I’ve ever received is to live by The Four Agreements: be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions, and always do your best. It’s my daily foundation for keeping my energy clear, living with integrity, and protecting my inner peace.
What is a dream you have that you’ve yet to achieve?: My dream is to provide a life of world-schooling for my daughter, where learning comes from real-world experiences and purposeful inspiration. I want to build financial freedom for our family so she is never held back, while keeping a stable home for us to stay deeply rooted.
What do you love most about your career? : What I love most is offering pure, nutrient dense food that helps local families be healthier. Feeding my own family and my community high-quality food brings me so much joy and warms my heart. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that through Sacred Seeds, I get to connect with our community every day and make a positive, healthy impact on local lives.
